Are you passionate about strengthening our community and creating lasting change in the Eastern Upper Peninsula? The United Way of the EUP is always looking for dedicated community leaders who want to make a difference by serving on our Board of Directors.
Board members play an important role in guiding our mission to advance the common good by improving education, financial stability, and health across our region. Through leadership, strategic insight, and community connections, board members help ensure United Way continues to respond to the greatest needs in our community.
Serving on the board is an opportunity to:
-
Help guide the vision, strategy, and impact of United Way in the EUP
-
Advocate for the needs of our community and the families we serve
-
Support fundraising and community engagement efforts
-
Volunteer and participate in United Way events and initiatives
-
Serve as ambassadors who share the United Way story and mission
We welcome individuals with a variety of skills and experiences, including leadership, finance, nonprofit governance, marketing, community outreach, strategic planning, and philanthropy. Board members are encouraged to give, advocate, and volunteer as part of their commitment to strengthening our community.
Our Board of Directors typically meets on the third Wednesday of scheduled months at 8:15 a.m., with meetings held in person at Avery Square (2nd Floor Conference Room) in Sault Ste. Marie. A Zoom option is available for those unable to attend in person.
If you are interested in helping lead meaningful change and making a lasting impact in the Eastern Upper Peninsula, we encourage you to apply.
